UIC is seeking participants for an exciting research project that will explore the nature of advocacy conducted by parents of children with disabilities.

We are looking for participants for an exciting research project that will explore the nature of advocacy conducted by parents of Parent Advocacy Training for Legislative Change Logochildren with disabilities.

Title of the Project: Understanding advocacy experiences of parents of individuals with disabilities

About the Project: As a participant, you will complete a 10-minute family information survey. Afterward, you will participate in a 90-minute interview. The interview may occur face-to-face or over-the-phone, depending on your preference. After the interview, we will e-mail you to review a summary of your interview (i.e., a follow-up e-mail). We believe that your experiences will help to inform the research about parent advocacy.

Potential Participants: Please consider participating in this study if:

  • You are a parent and/or caregiver of a child with a disability AND (b) Are older than 18 years of age

In appreciation for your time, you will receive $40 in gift cards for participating in this study. Specifically, participants will receive a $30 gift card after completing the interview. Participants will receive the other $10 gift card after completing the follow-up interview.
