CPS is taking steps to make up for previous illegal delays and denials of certain special education services.  CPS has Identified over 10,000 students who are automatically eligible for FREE extra services.  You may have received a letter from CPS about scheduling a UER call.

Does your child in CPS have an IEP and did they attend CPS in the 2016/2017 and/or 2017/2018 School Years? Even if you didn’t receive a letter, you can still request a meeting to discuss the possibility of getting free extra services.  The information that has been sent out can be confusing.
