LOOKING FOR A JOB?
Midwest Asian Health Association’s (MAHA) Smart Match Employment Program is here to help individuals with disabilities find employment opportunities that match their skills and interests.
MAHA offers several State-funded and City-funded employment-support programs that are eligible to some of your students, so I would be delighted to chat with you and discuss the potential to work with interested jobseekers at your institution. I have included brief descriptions and flyers for the two most relevant programs that MAHA offers for free and would likely apply to your students.
- Smart Match Employment Program
- Low-income, limited-English proficiency job seekers who have a disability (mental or physical) or are on the autism spectrum are welcome to receive tailored employment support and services through this program.
- Employment Preparation and Placement Program
- Any Chicago resident who is looking to find a job and identifies as a low-income individual with limited-English proficiency is invited to take part in free pre-employment training and vocational counseling opportunities by joining this program.
