Come; join other parents with your questions in an informal training centered on the process to continue services through Chicago Public Schools and look at options for services available after your child turns 3.

Parents with a child currently participating in the Early Intervention program and their Early Intervention providers are welcome. Priority will be given to families with children who have passed their 2nd birthday. This training is for adults only. Sorry, we are not able to safely accommodate children.

Registration is required-space is limited to 30. Email your interest to roberta_hansen@rush.edu by leaving your name, and your child’s name and birth date by July 18th. We will send you a confirmation email. Questions, contact Roberta at 312-942-7863.

Bishop Lane Retreat in Rockford, IL

Starnet Region V is offering moms, aunts, grandmothers, and caregivers of 3-5 year olds with special needs a weekend to Retreat Yourself, Oct. 17 – 19, 2014 at the Bishop Lane Retreat in Rockford, IL. The weekend will include massages, outdoor activities, informal workshops and an opportunity to meet other parents. The nature of the event is for parents only and unfortunately we are unable to provide child care during the weekend retreat.  Space is limited and registration is required.
 
Starnet Region V will sponsor the registration fee of $100 and provide transportation for Chicago moms to attend. Please see attached Mom Retreat Flyer 
 
Illinois StarNET provides a variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth for those who touch the lives of young children, ages birth through eight, with a special emphasis on children with special needs ages three to five.  StarNET provides free workshops, trainings and resources for parents and professionals across Chicago.
