The Waukegan Harbor

The City of Waukegan is home to their award-winning Park District and Public Library. The city features flourishing businesses, colleges, art galleries and other venues such as the Genesee Theater. The city also has recreational attractions, highlighted by the Waukegan Harbor. Located 40 miles north of Chicago and 60 miles south of Milwaukee, the city has a diverse population of 90,000+ and a labor force of more than 40,000.

Waukegan Harbor, Waukegan, IL 55 South Harbor Place, The Waukegan Harbor is a public harbor open to anyone looking to go boating, kayaking or canoeing. The ADA kayak/canoe launch is a unique boating facility that allows anyone, bus specifically those with physical disabilities, to easily get in and out of the water. It utilizes handrails and rollers to allow the kayak/canoe easy entrance to the water.
