Not So Puzzling: Autism & Social Narratives
May 8, 12:00 – 1:15 pm
Learn about social narratives, which are short stories that use words/pictures to understand a specific situation, event, place, or person. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to write and use a social narrative.
It’s Go Time: Toilet Training for Children with Autism and Developmental Delays
June 4, 12:00 – 1:15 pm
Toilet training is a challenge for many children, especially those that are autistic or developmentally delayed. This workshop is for all those involved in the child’s life (caregivers, educators, therapists, etc.). We will cover methods and strategies to prepare for and start the process of toilet training. *Workshop Credits available: General Certificate of Attendance, Early Intervention, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Social Worker CE Credit.
