It is with deep gratitude and a heavy heart that we share important news about the future of the Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD). After many years of serving as Illinois’ Parent Training and Information Center (PTIC), FRCD will no longer hold this role as of October 1, 2025. At that time, Family Matters PTIC will become the official Parent Training and Information Center for Illinois.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Family Matters. Over the years, our organizations have worked side by side to support families of children with disabilities across the state. We are confident that Family Matters will continue this critical mission with dedication, compassion, and excellence. We wish them every success as they take on this important responsibility. You can reach Family Matters PTIC at 1-866-4FMPTIC (1-866-436-7842) and visit their website at https://fmptic.org/.

While the future of FRCD is not yet fully defined, both I and the FRCD Board of Directors remain optimistic. What has always guided us is our unwavering commitment to families, and that commitment will continue to shape our path forward.
