Confused about the Illinois Developmental Disabilities System? You’re not alone.
Ed McManus, formerly of the Illinois Division of Developmental Disabilities and the founder of Ed McManus Developmental Disability Consulting, can help you understand our state’s complex system in his presentation “Navigating the Developmental Disability System in Illinois.”

When it comes to interventions for students on the autism spectrum, one size does not fit all. Marrea Winnega, PhD, BCBA, Director of School Consulting for Autism Home Support Services, will present “Interventions for Students with Varying Degrees of Autism.”

Adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum often experience mental health challenges. An expert team from the Autism Assessment, Research, Treatment and Services (AARTS) Center at Rush University Medical Center-
Rachel Loftin, PhD, Tom Owley, MD, and Latha Soorya, PhD, BCBA-will discuss the use of assessments, behavioral treatment and medication to help individuals struggling with mental health issues.
